It’s taken me a while to review this CC cream. And yes, I know it’s all about the DD (daily defence) cream now, but there’s only so many letters of the alphabet one girl can get through at a time.
I dedicate this Friday Fritter to one of my favourite all time make-up brands, Bourjois. The French high street favourite always delivers and it certainly delivers with this CC cream. With an SPF of 15, the cream has three colour correcting pigments – apricot for signs of fatigue, green to cover redness and white to cover dark spots.
As with most Bourjois products, it’s pleasantly scented, oil-free and has a lightweight texture. Available in four colours, I opted for the second one – light beige – and applied with my fingertips for a smooth finish with a surprising amount of coverage.
I have oily skin and with most products, I need to apply a pore refining primer beforehand to ensure my make-up stays put all day. But I didn’t need anything extra with this (perhaps a little concealer afterwards for those stubborn dark circles).
With summer just around the corner (she says, clearly deluded), CC creams are ideal for brighter, warmer weather when you don’t want the heavy feeling of a full face of foundation. The Bourjois 123 gave my skin a flawless, soft-focus look that lasted all day.
I really loved this product and can see it replacing a lot of my go-to tinted moisturisers/BB/CC creams this spring/summer.
