Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Eyeshadows

by ,

You never forget your first eyeshadow palette. Unfortunately, mine was some dreadful mauve combination from 1990s budget brand Constance Carroll which I really would rather forget, thank you.

I like to think I’ve come a long way since my teenage mauve phrase. This week I’ve been loving me some bronze and copper from the utterly divine Charlotte Tilbury make-up range.

After months (and months) of waiting, Tilbury’s full make-up range finally landed at Dublin’s Brown Thomas. Unable to resist, I popped in and picked up her luxury eyeshadow palette The Dolce Vita.

Tilbury’s palettes are intensely pigmented. With four harmonious colours in each palette, there is a quick step-by-step guide on the back to help you achieve a flawless look.

To create a smokey eye, sweep the champagne base colour (Prime) all over the eyelid. Over this, you apply the copper shade (Enhance) to the socket and outer corners of the eye. For a more intense eye, blend the dark bronze shade (Smoke) on the outer corners of the eye.

What I absolutely adore about this product is the fourth sparkly shade (Pop), designed to take you from daytime to an amped-up night-time look. With your ring finger, apply the Pop shade to the centre of your eyelid for instant glamour.

The intensely pigmented shadows are a joy to use, long-wearing and the palette itself is beautiful to handle. This is my second Tilbury product (read my review of her Wonder Glow Primer here) and the lady can do no wrong! I can see a new, seriously expensive, make-up habit forming.
