Three Things: Favourite budget concealers

by ,

I’ll never be one of those I-just-rolled-outta-bed-looking-this-great kinda girls but I know a thing or two about faking it. My ultimate beauty must-have is concealer. A little brightening under the eye, a dab or two on a stubborn spot and you’re gorgeous!

You don’t have to spend a fortune these days to get really great concealers. Here are three of my current favourite budget picks – all for under a tenner.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
A dupe for MAC’s Select Moisture Concealer, I’ve been using Rimmel Wake Me Up for a couple of years now and love it. Its creamy consistency glides on under the eye and gives the perfect amount of coverage without sinking into fine lines. I would use this solely as an under-the-eye concealer – for spots, you would need something thicker and more transfer resistant. But for a little brightening, it’s perfect.

Catrice All Round Concealer
This bargain palette from Catrice is a real gem. For less than a fiver, Catrice has all your concealing requirements covered with its five blendable shades. Mix a little of the green with beige on the back of your hand and use to bring down redness or cover a spot. Add a little of the pink to beige and you have perfect under-eye coverage. The quality is surprisingly good and long-lasting for a budget concealer.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blur & Brighten Crayon
This beauty from Soap & Glory is my latest love. I am partial to a crayon. Whether it’s a new lip colour or an eyeshadow pencil, I love the convenience of a chubby stick. Just slick it on and away you go. The Kick Ass concealer is beautifully creamy, offers good coverage and is long-lasting. Me very much likey.
