Nobody looks good at the gym – not unless you’re a Front Row Girl (FRG) that is, then you look flawless. But for the rest of us, we’re the hot and sweaty messes lurking down the back of the class. Ideally you shouldn’t wear make-up whilst working out so as to give your skin a chance to breathe. I, however, definitely need a little something on my face so as not to scare away those FRGs. Here are my favourite gym face basics:
La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Cream
I’m a big fan of CC creams and wear one most days, either alone or under foundation if I’m at the office. The Rosaliac CC cream is ideal for the gym as it designed to help correct skin that is prone to flushing. It also helps to reduce visible redness over time and has an SPF of 30. The cream gives me medium coverage without clogging my pores and blends in easily for a ‘natural’ dewy finish.
Revlon cream blush
I fall in and out of love with cream blushes. As a standalone product, they never seem to last the pace and I always end up topping with powder. This little pot from Revlon in Charmed Enchantment is perfect for giving me that ‘just back from the gym’ flush before I’ve even set foot in the place. Admittedly it rarely makes it to the end of my spin class, but at that stage I’m already rocking a natural glow.
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water
I love my La Roche mist and always have the travel size in my handbag. It can be used at any stage during the day for some instant hydration but I particularly love a quick spritz after a workout. It soothes and softens skin and delivers a little boost of thermal spring goodness to the face. Perfect!
