Valentine’s nails

by ,

I’ve got a soft spot for Valentine’s. All those dodgy cards, over-priced roses and cheap lingerie – I buy in to it all. So in a nod to the most romantic day of the year, I want to show you a gorgeous pink manicure I created with drugstore favourites Rimmel and Catrice.

Catrice Ultra Stay Gel Shine Base Coat
For a great manicure it’s all about the base, as Meghan Trainor might say. A base coat will prevent nails from discolouring and give a lasting finish to your mani. I love Catrice’s latest gel base coat. It evens out nails for a smooth application of colour and best of all, priced at under a fiver, it’s cheap as chips.

Rita Ora for Rimmel in Don’t Be Shy
You can’t beat a bottle of Rimmel nail polish – I must have hundreds of them at this stage. The latest Rita Ora range is super cute. Available in 12 pops of colour, I picked up the bright pink named Don’t Be Shy. Too quick coats gives me a fast-drying, long-lasting finish. And for €4.99, it’s a nail polish no-brainer.

Catrice Ultra Stay Gel Shine Top Coat

Finally, to keep your colour chip-free, a top coat is a must. Again I’m loving Catrice’s latest gel-like range which gives a pretty perfect, long-lasting finish. Result!
