It’s the return of the MAC… well its Huggable Lip Colours that is. Back by popular demand, the creamy lipsticks will be on counters for a limited time.
It’s no secret that I love MAC lippies so road-testing these beauts has been nothing short of pure joy (I need to get out more). Available in 10 shades, the lipsticks are sheer glosses that are incredibly light and moisturising. I’ve got three gorgeous shades to show you today. No need to thank me! You’re very welcome! So let’s get to it…
This nude shade is just gorgeous and very easy to wear. It gives lips a hint of colour for that ‘all-natural-only-better’ look. I found this lovely and moisturising and I could whack it on without a mirror. In terms of colour payoff, it’s very subtle. If you like the au naturel look, you’ll love this.
I’m a big fan of fuschia pink lipsticks so was really excited to try this out. The colour is bright but glossy – more like a very bright lip balm than a full-on lipstick. In terms of lastability, it doesn’t quite give you the six hours MAC claims but I did have pink-tinted lips for most of the day. If you are terrified of brights, it’s a great entry-level lippie.
I’m not normally a fan of orange lipsticks (there’s not much call for one down at the playground) but I’m willing to try anything once. I actually really loved this. It’s sheer, it’s creamy and it’s not too in-your-face. Again it didn’t last that long but lips did feel nicely moisturised so I’m happy to overlook its fade factor.
Overall, the Huggable Lip Colours are incredibly wearable lipsticks in stylishly packaged, smart grey bullets – I loved them. M-wah!
