When someone sends you an edible invite on a giant cookie tethered to a bunch of balloons, you sit up and take notice. And so began last Friday when the lovely people at Kildare Village posted out beautiful invites to bloggers across the land for a special day of shopping at the Village. (They had me at ‘cookie’.)
Well today is the day – hurrah! As I can’t bring all of you with me, I thought I’d share my day of fun here on the blog and across my social media. I’ve been up early preparing so here is a little preview of what I am wearing today.
In a cautious nod to ‘summer’ (I use that term very loosely this year), I’m wearing cropped jeans with my beloved striped Zara T-shirt. Comfort is key when you’re shopping so as much as I love my dolly-bird heels, I’m rocking my cute new flats from Aldo. Finally my ‘Margaret Thatcher’ Mango blazer adds a much need pop of pink to my monochrome outfit.
As my make-up needs to last the pace, I’ve turned to a few of my old reliables to get me through the day. I’ve started with a primer (at the moment I’m loving MAC’s TimeCheck Lotion). Over this, I am wearing:
- Bourjois CC Cream in Light Beige
- Smashbox Concealer in Light Beige
- Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation in Bisque
- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder in Fair
- Revlon blusher in Haute Pink
- Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eyeshadows
- MAC Cremesheen Lipglass
