As I’m a G&T girl at heart, you can imagine my delight when Mr TBI gave me a bottle of Copperhead Gin for my birthday recently.
Apart from its extremely Instagrammable rose-gold bottle, it’s a beautiful Belgian gin that deserves a little more than a dash of tonic water.
So with this in mind, I searched high and low for the perfect cocktail recipe and finally tried this delicious Rose Martini Gin cocktail from mixologist Colleen Graham on TheSpruce.com. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Chin-chin!
You will need:
2 ounces gin
1 ounce Martini (dry vermouth)
1 tablespoon of rose-infused syrup*
3 dashes of orange bitters
Rose petals to garnish
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake and then strain into a cocktail glass. Add a few dashes of orange bitters and garnish with a few rose petals. Enjoy!
*For rose-infused syrup, you will need:
2 cups of demerara sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup rose water (check it’s for consumption first)
Bring the water to the boil before adding the sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool and thicken. The sugar syrup will keep for up to three weeks in a sealed glass bottle in the fridge.
So ladies, have you a favourite cocktail?
