I jumped on the Huda Beauty bandwagon (and I liked it)

by ,

I’ve been politely ignoring the frenzy that is Huda Beauty for ages now. Of course, I follow Huda Kattan – I mean the whole world practically does. And I love her style but I’m not really a Huda Instagram girl, now am I? I can barely do a liner, I don’t possess those rectangular Instagram brows, and I can’t bake, highlight, strobe or contour with any great skill to save my life.

Nevertheless, when Irish department store Brown Thomas launched her beauty collection in October, I felt compelled to go take a little look. Unable to resist a counter full of make-up, I opted for Huda’s new mini Warm Brown Obsession palettes (at the not-so-mini price of €28). With chocolates, warm oranges and a molten metallic gold, the Warm Brown Obsessions colours are beautifully complimentary and flattering.

The pictures in the gallery above is my first attempt at using the palette and I think it’s fab. I have a wedding coming up in December and have decided to wear this with a nude matte lip.

The eyeshadows themselves are really pigmented, are easy to blend with little to no fall-out, and last well all day. I actually wore this look into work afterwards (“ooh, where are you going so fancy?”) and it still looked fab at the end of an eight-hour day in an overheated office.

I’m pretty impressed with the palette and I’ll definitely be picking up a few more bits from the range.

In the gallery above, I’m wearing:

- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in shade Light Beige
- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in shade Classic Beige
