After what can only be described as the longest, greyest, rainiest January in Irish history, spring is finally in sight. And with it comes birdsong, blossoms and sunshine! Okay, okay, it’ll probably be more grey rain but at least we have some new releases to look forward to.
First out of the blocks is Clarins with its gorgeous new collection of primers and make-up. I was sent the primers at the end of November and have been happily prepping and priming my dry winter skin for a few months now.
Available in six offerings (priced €31 each), there is a primer for every concern (fatigue, redness, dark spots etc). My favourites include Universal Light for lack of radiance and Rose for fatigue. Yes, I’m old and tired this January – you get the picture. The primers are quality, don’t pill under make-up and despite the €31 price tag, are good value. A little spreads a long way.
Meanwhile, Clarins has added a new eyeshadow palette in pink shades (07 Lovely Rose, €43) to its existing collection. As you would expect from Clarins, the shadows are pigmented with little fallout.
Finally, there are a couple of new Lip Balm Perfectors for spring including 07 Hot Pink and 08 Plum (priced €20).
Clarins all-singing, all-Springy collection is on counters from January 29. Now, back to the rain with you.
