In another lifetime, I like to imagine I was a French lady-in-waiting, quaffing macarons and doused in the finest French perfume. In this lifetime, however, I have to make do with a little Yves Saint Laurent to brighten up my grey Irish day (which is not so bad, admittedly).
As we’ve been snowed in here in Ireland for the last three days, I’ve had time on my hands to try out a few new YSL products. Here’s how I got on.
YSL Touche Eclat Monogram Edition (€35)
One of the first luxury products I ever bought was a Touche Eclat concealer. Its clickable pen dispenser was the first of its kind and the luxe, gold packaging made it a treat to take out of the handbag.
YSL has released this limited edition version with a stylish black YSL motif. As for the contents, it still conceals and highlights like a dream. A classic.
YSL Fusion Ink Cushion Foundation (€58.50)
This limited edition compact is stunning and I’m utterly obsessed with it. The foundation itself offers medium coverage with a matte finish. The compact also features a handy mirror, sponge and is refillable. Beautiful!
YSL Mon Paris Couture Eau de Parfum (€100)
I’m one step closer to my dreams of being a French lady-in-waiting doused in perfume with this fruity, floral YSL fragrance. With notes of bergamot, grapefruit and raspberry, it’s the perfect, fresh spring-time fragrance. Now all we need is that elusive spring weather… sacré bleu!
