The Max Factor LipFinity Red Lip

by ,

Well here’s something you don’t see every day – me talking about red lipstick (!). So for the sake of this post, let’s pretend you’ve never heard my views on red lippy (spoiler alert: it’s awesome).

When it comes to reds, I have a serious must-have-it problem. My latest are a trio of new autumn releases from the Max Factor LipFinity range. As the LipFinity lipsticks seem to be around for an, er, infinity, we all the drill by now – Max Factor promise highly pigmented shades that last “24 hours”. Here’s the three bad boys I put to the 24-hour test…

Max Factor LipFinity in Always Chic
The brightest of the three, Always Chic is a gorgeous Taylor Swift-esque pop of poppy red. First impressions are good. The lipstick is super bright, moisturising, packed with lip conditioning oils and feels great on the lips. Does it last 24 hours? Well… let’s just say I had to top this up every few hours. However, it does leave a stain of colour on lips so technically, technically, it lasted.

Max Factor LipFinity in Ever Sumptuous
This was a lovely coral-esque shade of red. I’m not sure I’m an optimistic ‘coral’ sorta girl but I’d give anything a whirl once. Again it was moisturising and faded to a pleasant lip stain. I’ll probably pass this one on, however, to someone brighter and breezier than me.

Max Factor LipFinity in So Luxuriant
The winner of the three is definitely So Luxuriant. A lovely autumnal red, I’ve been getting the most wear out of this one. Again it’s moisturising and reasonably long lasting. Although I’m not a massive fan of the plastic gold packaging, Max Factor LipFinity are great quality, mid-range lipsticks. Not bad at all for €11.49.
